Dashboard
The dashboard is the first screen you see when you sign in — your store at a glance. It answers “what needs me right now?” and “how are sales doing?” without you digging through menus. Everything on it is a shortcut: click a number or a card to jump straight to the underlying list.
What you see depends on your role and which modules your store has enabled, so your dashboard may show fewer sections than described here.
The bands, top to bottom
Greeting and quick actions
A time-of-day greeting, plus quick action buttons for the things you do most — typically Quick sale, New product, and Restock. These are the fastest way to start a common task from a cold start.
Action Required
The hero band near the top. It gathers everything waiting on you — unfulfilled orders, low stock, pending returns or reviews, and similar — into verb-first cards that link straight to the work. When there’s nothing outstanding, it shows a calm “all caught up” state. If you check one thing each morning, check this.
Key numbers (last 30 days)
A row of headline tiles — Revenue, Orders, Average order, and Refunds for the trailing 30 days. Each carries a small delta pill comparing it to the previous period, so you can see direction at a glance, not just totals.
Period tiles
Today, This week, and This month side by side, so you can tell how the current day or week is tracking against the month.
Revenue trend and conversion
A revenue trend chart plus a conversion funnel — the shape of sales over time, and where shoppers drop off between visiting and buying.
Supporting widgets
Smaller panels for the day-to-day: Recent orders, Top products, Inventory health, and Upcoming renewals (if you run subscriptions). Each links into its full section.
Reading it well
- Empty ≠ broken. A brand-new store shows zeros and empty widgets because there’s no history yet — not because anything is wrong. Numbers fill in as orders arrive.
- Deltas need a yesterday. The comparison pills need a prior period to compare against, so they’re most useful once your store has a couple of weeks of activity.
- A missing section usually means a permission or a module. If a teammate doesn’t see Revenue or Renewals, their role may exclude it, or the module isn’t enabled for your store.
Where to go next
The dashboard is a launchpad, not a destination — most cards drop you into the matching guide’s territory:
- Orders & fulfillment — work the orders the Action Required band surfaces
- Products — from the Top products and New product shortcuts
- Inventory — follow up on Inventory health
- Reports — go deeper than the 30-day headline numbers
