Content
Beyond products, your storefront can publish editorial content — articles, announcements, recipes, landing copy, and similar. This guide covers creating, publishing, and organizing content.
What content is for
Content drives SEO, tells your brand story, and supports campaigns. Typical types:
- Articles / blog posts — long-form editorial.
- Announcements / banners — short, time-bound messages (a sale, a shipping delay).
- Category or landing copy — descriptive text that frames a collection.
- Recipes or guides — depending on your catalog, structured how-to content.
The exact content types your store offers depend on how it was configured. They
are served through the /content/[type] API surface — see the
API Reference.
Create a content item
- Go to Content in the left nav.
- Pick the type (article, announcement, etc.) and click Add.
- Fill in:
- Title — the headline.
- Slug — the URL handle; auto-fills from the title.
- Body — rich text / structured fields, depending on the type.
- Featured image — where the type supports one.
- Save as a draft.

Publish and schedule
- Review the draft (use Preview if available).
- Set the status to Published, or schedule a future publish date if your store supports scheduling.
- Confirm it appears on the storefront at its URL.
To unpublish, set the item back to Draft. The content is preserved and can be republished later.
Announcements and time-bound content
For banners and announcements:
- Set a start and end date so the message appears and disappears automatically.
- Keep copy short and action-oriented.
- Remove or expire stale announcements promptly — an out-of-date banner erodes trust.
Organize content
- Use categories or tags (where offered) so related articles group together.
- Order matters for lists and feeds; set the publish date or a manual sort to control what shows first.
- Cross-link content to relevant products to turn editorial into sales.
Common questions
- My article isn’t showing. Confirm it’s published (not draft) and that its publish date isn’t in the future. Check the slug matches the URL you’re visiting.
- An old announcement is still up. It probably has no end date, or the end date is wrong. Edit it to expire, or unpublish it.
- Images look low quality. Upload higher-resolution images; the storefront resizes from the original.
